Nigeria Now Goes Into The State Of "Tomato Emergency" As Pest Wastes Tomatoes

 It is no longer news, that tomatoes planted have now being destroyed by a pest known as Tomato blight (Tutu Absoluta), which is the cause of the loss of tomatoes planted in Kaduna state, Nigeria.
 The scarcity of tomatoes made the business tycoon Dangote, to close down his Tomato processing plant in Kano state.
 The governor of Kaduna state, where this pest mostly affects the plant, Governor El-Rufai has stated that experts have being sent abroad to find at least a temporary solution to the problem, but he had on Monday, declared Kaduna state as a "State of Emergency" on tomatoes farming.
 He complained that about 1 billion Naira has being lost "under one month" due to the pest.
